He has investigated the evidence for antivirals Tamiflu, acute respiratory infections, IVF 'add-on' treatments, metal-hips, cancer screening, health checks, surgical mesh, medical devices, and hormone pregnancy tests.|
|Emily McFadden is a senior statistical epidemiologist, leading on the Big Data Epidemiology module. Emily's current research interests include the use of large routine databases in medical research and research design.|
Jennifer Hirst is a senior research fellow and epidemiologist, working as part of the QResearch team. Jennifer is leading a study to determine the uptake, safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination in people living with blood cancer using the QResearch database.
She has expertise in quantitative methods, meta-analysis, managing UK-based and international multicentre clinical studies, clinical epidemiology and qualitative data collection and analysis, and is the module coordinator for the Meta-analysis module.
