Kayley McPherson
I am a Research Assistant working on the TRIDENT (Tobacco RIsk reDuction with E-cigarette Nicotine Replacement Therapy) research programme within the Oxford Tobacco Research Group. TRIDENT aims to To develop a brief offer of an e-cigarette, and a continued support programme given by mental health professionals that meets the needs of people with serious mental illness who smoke and have declined help to quit.
My academic background includes a BSc Psychology degree and an MSc in Health Psychology. I also have several years of experience working in the NHS as a Health and Wellbeing Coach, supporting patients with both their mental and physical health.
I am currently the events officer for the EMCR (Early to Mid-Career Researchers) group.
