Kathryn Woodward

Kathryn is an Australian trained doctor and current DPhil student under the supervision of Professor Catherine Pope. She is funded through a Rhodes Scholarship from the Rhodes Trust.
Kathryn's research aims to explore the experiences of health services among refugee populations in Queensland, Australia. Her wider interests include improving person- and community-centred care and addressing health inequities for marginalised groups.
Kathryn completed her BMedSci and MD at Griffith University in Australia, where she graduated with Distinction and the University Medal of Excellence. She later completed a Masters in Applied Digital Health at the University of Oxford where she researched the use of digital health technologies to prevent heatwave-related harm and graduated with Distinction.
Alongside her clinical and research work, Kathryn is also a lecturer at Griffith University's School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Deputy Chair of Canteen, Australia's leading youth cancer charity.
