I am a researcher who has worked on a number of reviews across a range of healthcare topics including: natriuretic peptides for monitoring chronic heart failure, remote monitoring of heart failure, smoking prevention in schools, lipids as predictors of cardiovascular events, effect of drug treatment on the progression of chronic kidney disease. Current projects include accuracy of testing for serious bacterial infection in the immunocompromised in ambulatory care and a methodological study of stepped wedge trial design.
As a programme manager, I have joined the NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research (PGfAR) 'CoMPuTE (Complex Multiple long-term conditions Phenotypes, Trends, and Endpoints)' research programme after completing a five year role as programme manager for the NIHR PGfAR ‘Monitoring in Long Term Conditions’.
I am joint module coordinator for the Meta-analysis module https://www.conted.ox.ac.uk/courses/meta-analysis, which is part of the University of Oxford's Evidence Based Health Care, Medical Statistics and Systematic Review Masters programmes.
