There is no difference in the price to complete a module as a 'stand-alone' short course for credit, or not-for-credit. However, prices for all courses/modules are set annually and may be subject to change. Please check the current course web pages for up to date details.

There is an Annual Award Fee for each year a student is on the course, payment for which is due before the start of the academic year. Modules are invoiced 6-8 weeks before the start of the module. Module fees for programme students are lower than fees for a student attending as a "short course". The Dissertation Fee payment is due shortly before students begin their dissertation for which they have 3 terms to complete. The Dissertation Fee is equivalent to 3 module fees. Students can request to import a short course taken for academic credit into the MSc if completed within 2 years of starting the programme.

No. A number of modules on all the programmes include a face to face week in Oxford, as part of the blended module delivery.

There is one 4,000 word assignment for each module.

Students are allowed 3 terms (one academic year) to complete the dissertation. It is up to the individual student as to how much time they will put into their dissertation, remembering that it is a part-time course and students are able to complete their dissertation while working full-time in most cases.
Students completing a 'stand-alone' short course for academic credit are expected to participate in all aspects of the course and to submit the assignment. Students completing a short course 'not for credit' are expected to participate in the course delivery but do not submit the assignment.
Every course has a webpage which can be found on the Continuing Education website. The dates when courses are running are provided in a dropdown list on each course page.
Not usually, but requests may considered by the relevant Course Director. A minimum of 2 annual award fees are still applicable.
Yes, most of our students are busy professionals. However, it is necessary to be free from work commitments during the Oxford face to face teaching weeks in the blended delivery modules.
You can complete as few as 1 module in a year and as many as 6. You have between 2 and 4 years to complete the full programme.
In most instances, modules/short courses run more than once in each academic year.
